Book Notes: Book Review - 'The Christmas Bargain' by Shanna Hatfield & A Few Shout-Outs
I love participating in giveaways but most of the time, I just feel like I don't have time to do the many things required to add to my chances of winning. So I wanted to do something nice for those who shared their online presence and give them a shout-out. Read on to check out their sites!
*No one paid me to boost their sites. They did not get extra tickets for the giveaway in exchange for me doing this. And while I'm sharing their sites, that doesn't mean that I necessarily agree with everything they say or share on those sites. I must also say that to my knowledge these are legitimate sites, but you should know you are clicking at your own risk.*
Shoutouts From My Giveaway
As I announced the winners of my giveaway, I wondered what I could do for the others who participated to thank them for taking their time to do so. I came up with the idea of shout-outs for those who shared their online presence through the giveaway widget. I toyed with the idea of emailing the participants who didn't but I said I wouldn't ask and I will keep my word. If you were one of those, and didn't have a public website anyone could find through a normal Google search, and you want me to share your website, then feel free to contact me. *Note: This is only for those who participated in my giveaway and I am not planning to do it again. Please do not contact me for a shoutout if you did not participate in my giveaway.*
In no particular order:
- Cassandra at RCG Collections - I found this description through a Google search. "RCG Collections provides online retail shopping to the customer, this site is geared to selling a wide selection of clothes, shoes, makeup, purses, phone cases, smart watches, baby clothes, as well as glow in the dark necklace." They appear to be a company based in China from what I could see by checking out their site. I've linked you to my favorite product instead of the home page because they also sell lingerie, just so you know. I've also linked to the Google site results so you can check those out before visiting the site.
- Author Elizabeth D. Marie's blog - I only started reading Elizabeth's books this year and I'm already in love with the world she's created. It's a joy to watch each fairytale retelling unfold and to read a romance story that present true romance. It's not always easy, but with hard work and the determination to know your partner, you can get past the momentary passions. Once you do that, the truth about love really takes shape. It's so nice to read work from someone who views love in a similar way. If you're on Goodreads, you can also follow Elizabeth there if you prefer.
- Lorraine Leatham reviews books and you can find her Rainy Day Book Reviews on facebook.
This book review is super short because December is a terribly busy month for me. I'm going to try to read and review several other Christmas themed romances this month but I can't make any promises. I have much to do before our holiday celebrations really get started.
Book Review: The Christmas Bargain by Shanna Hatfield
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I absolutely loved this story of sweet love that started on shaky ground. The way the tale unfolded was quite believable and enjoyable. My favorite character was the dressmaker. She was a hoot! I also loved the hero's dad who was so understanding and tolerant. The adventures of the purple hat were fun to read about, too. If you enjoy reading historical romance with a dash of humor and some interesting side characters, then you'll probably enjoy reading "The Christmas Bargain."
